On January 3, 2012 we launched Business Documentation Software (BDS). This new platform is a departure from our earlier product, Easy Template Software which I discussed in the second edition of Work the System. After spending a year developing Easy Template back in 2010, it became clear that software development was not our forte. We abandoned the project but since then, our web stats have consistently shown that – by far – the most visited page on this website has been this one, having to do with documentation management software.
So, because of the incessant demand, and in concert with the launch of our Work The System Academy product, we’ve partnered with a software development company to provide a documentation management platform, customized to our requirements. It contains detailed video tutorials explaining how to store, review, approve and release your business documentation to ensure first class documentation management within your company.

BDS is simple and intuitive. Offering version control (version history), it is the hub for organizing and categorizing your documents according to your exact needs. You do not create documents within the software. Instead, you compose them within a familiar word processing application (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc.) and then upload the documents into the BDS system. it’s all done online, fully accessible from the web interface you are using right now. BDS uses many of the same features with which you are already familiar. Search for any document, browse through the tree-based folders, or click on the handy icons to view a document.
BDS ensure that your documents are available for use only after they’ve been thoroughly reviewed and approved per your management chain of command.
