Yes, there are systems everywhere. I do think there is a force that is holding the system together. The stars align themselves in certain order.
This makes us think of a supernatural force beyond our limited comprehension.

I love the positive smack in the face! In Aikido, we are taught that before we can defeat the enemy we must first quite the war within ourselves; in every battle there are always at least three opponents: You, Yourself, and the attacker.

I am a lover of systems, and could go on and on about the beauty of systems. For me, my belief in a higher power gives me the ultimate paradigm shift, the very reason I celebrate Christmas today! But all, including the varied religions and non-religious alike, could benefit from this perspective.

This reminds me of the biggest challenges in life are often in our minds. I hate to quote a book title, but Joyce Myer nailed it, it really is a battlefield of the mind. Sometimes the hardest thing to overcome is really yourself, and whats in your head. When I opened up and realized what was in my head, and my way of looking at the world was holding me back, things quickly began to change. It’s hard to get this point across to people, yet it seems so easy a concept. I just want to go around waking people up from this state of disbelief. What a great post.

The power of this post to me was perspective. The system’s mindset gives us perspective which is a powerful force. Perspective is the difference between helping and hurting when we know where people are coming from, in our own lives just as you said, it allows us to see the systems behind our lives clearly. We are equipped to take a step back and make a change higher up in the cascade of tasks we do and systems we use. We don’t just “eat less calories” we change the entire way we eat. We don’t just spend less on material things, we stop owning material things entirely. We don’t just “need to make more money” we change how we approach work. I really appreciate these thoughts as I’m becoming a big proponent on behavioral change for living a productive and happy life. The systems mindset is at the core of gaining a powerful control over your behavior, the “get it” moment is an eye opener…something we need to be continually reminded of I think as we all slip away from it in the mess of life. Good post, thanks for reminding me of it. Merry Christmas!
